报告指出，就地域而言，2017年亚太地区依旧是全球最大的TPE市场。届时其市场需求将占全球总需求一半以上。作为全球头号TPE消费大国，未来几年中国对该种材料的需求将继续稳定增长。
尽管未来TPE在日本市场上发展或将受限，但近年来印度及东南亚方面TPE行业发展迅速。市场分析师称，以上两大地区已成为推高全亚洲TPE走势的又一新增长点。
此外，与2007-2012年衰退期相比，北美和西欧对TPE的市场需求已明显好转，且其良好的增长势头有望继续保持。
种类而言，POE(聚烯烃弹性体)将成为增长最快的热塑性弹性体。作为新型TPE产品，POE因其优越的性能被广泛应用于塑料包装领域。此外，TPV(热塑性硫化橡胶)市场前景也将十分可期。近年来，汽车、消费耐用品、医用产品等领域对该种材料的需求力度正在不断加大。
低烟无卤阻燃TPE材料的推出，不仅满足了市场的环保安全需求，使阻燃材料的使用者在寻找PVC材料的替代品时多了一项更佳的选择，同时也发挥了SEBS材料的优异特性、拓展了SEBS材料的应用范围，使低烟无卤阻燃TPE成为阻燃材料新热点。
